2024 – 1st Rally Targa Sicilia

STAGE 3 / Taormina – Taormina / thursday 18 april 2024

For the third stage, the loop route around Taormina was deliberately short to take advantage of a beautiful afternoon dedicated to visiting Taormina and its historic center.



In the morning, we still had to face the steep slopes of the northern slope of Etna, and come across impressive lava flows and other desolate areas of the volcano.



It is in these unreal and magnificently beautiful settings that the first regularity test of the day leading to the summit of Etna, before descending to the plain, was designed.



Lunch took place at the foot of the giant before returning to Taormina via a route offering another timed test, with a change in average in the special, which will have reshuffled the cards for the fight for the general classification of the rally, with a podium still too difficult to be determined.



After this day and its views of an omnipresent Etna, we will see you tomorrow for the final stage of this 1st edition of the Targa Sicilia, towards Syracuse, which this time will put the southern slope of the giant on display.
